Snowago 101

First of all, I just want to say welcome again to Snowago! I really hope you love the site and that it helps you as you plan out your season!

If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed with all of the cool features and functions that Snowago has to offer, don’t worry. This little guide should help you navigate the basics of the site and help you start using Snowago to its maximum potential.

The site is subdivided into two sections, one is the general Snowago stuff that is accessible from the top navi, and the other is resort-specific information, which is available from the Resorts section of the site.

From the Snowago home page, you can read up on general community-wide news, or you can head right to the pages of your favorite resorts. You can also do this any time you're on Snowago by clicking the “Resorts” link at the top of the page.

You can size up the competition by heading to the “Members” section from the link at the top. This will let you search for friends, sort fellow members by snowflakes and other stats, or maybe even find some like-minded people to hit the slopes with. From this page, you can add members as friends and even send them a private message through the site!

If you click on the “Rewards” link at the top of the home page, you will be taken to the Snowago shop. You earn snowflakes by participating in various activities on Snowago, so start saving up to get goodies from the store! Prizes will be coming soon!

The “My Profile” link from the home page lets you view your profile. If you want to edit the information or add a new picture, click on the “Edit My Profile” link under your avatar image. From there you can add or remove information in your profile, edit your account information like email address and contact information, and even post your experience levels!

From your personal Member Profile you can add resorts to your “Favorites” list and update your Snowlogger™, which allows you to keep track of the days you’ve been to each resort, which runs you conquered and their difficulty level, and how much terrain you’ve covered. Right now the Snow Log is in a BETA phase, but these new features will be coming soon!

If you click on the “Invite” link you can invite your friends and family and family to join Snowago and earn snowflakes for everyone that registers!

Feel free to participate in the site-wide and resort specific forums and activities. You can access the general site activities and forums from any resort, but you can only get the specific forum by heading to the resort page of the resort you want!
